Looking for ways to sneeze-proof your home?
Follow these tips as you work toward an allergy-free living space, and breathe a little easier this season!
START WITH YOUR BED:
Keep the dust out! Cover your mattress and pillows with zipped dust mite covers.
STOP TRACKING IN JUNK:
Lay doormats on the inside and outside of home entryways, and vacuum them weekly. Better yet, create the habit of family members and guests removing shoes when entering your home!
MAKE VACUUMING MORE EFFECTIVE:
Your vacuum should have a HEPA filter- if not, put it on the list for Santa. It’s a valuable investment to make for your health, as they are made to trap particles as tiny as 0.3 microns – which means they are able to capture most allergens!
SWAP OUT THOSE FILTERS:
Don’t forget to clean or replace the filters in your heating and cooling systems. Follow the manufacturers’ instructions (many of which you can find online).
